A major re-development of selected areas of the Rother Valley resulted in 4 bespoke new leisure facilities to service the south Yorkshire area being created providing swimming pools, splash pools, training course areas, full height water slides including 'lazy river' run off rapids, squash courts, rock climbing walls, tennis courts, gymnastic facilities, full interactive 200 plus machine standard weight and training gyms, aerobics studios and full wet and dry temperature controlled changing areas.
The construction consisted of installation of full mechanical and electrical services and included ducted hot air supply to all areas varying from 12 - 38 degrees with high humidity, radiant heating and integrated natural dampened ventilation, full DDA compliant general area vandal resistant sanitary ware, air conditioning, feature lighting, rock climbing wall integrated lighting, CCTV, access control, security systems, power and data, addressable fire alarm, localised lighting and power and sub water lighting.
The projects were split over 4 separate sites with one central client however each building had its on individual shape and although largely glass and utilising local materials was commended for its energy efficiency as a project.
