The school utilises ground source heat pumps to provide low grade heating in winter and cooling in summer. Heating/cooling is provided to the building via under-floor and Thermodeck ventilation systems. Thermodeck ventilation introduces supply air via the hollow cores of the concrete slabs, so utilising the mass of the ceiling slabs to heat/cool the building.

Solar panels provide domestic hot water to the school, while a 20KW wind turbine provides sustainable power.

Gas fired boilers provide back up to all the LTHW heating system and all systems are fully controlled and monitored via a BMS system.

A rainwater recycling system collects from the roof via an underground tank and uses the water to serve all theWC cisterns, in addition to a full sprinkler system.
