Pre designed new leisure centre from Atkins (Leeds) with final co-ordination by Airedale Mechanical and Electrical Ltd.
Mechanical installation consisted of a lphw system via CHP, boilers, pumps and a mixture of underfloor heating and warm air. Separate air handling units were installed for the swimming pool, reception and dry changing area, tone zone and multi-function room. Domestic services were via a storage tank, booster set and packaged plate heat exchanger with buffer vessel. Comfort cooling is provided to the tone zone, multifunction room and managers office.
The electrical works included: site infrastructure works, installation of cable management, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, small power, public address, television aerials, CCTV, security, external lighting, power supplies to mechanical services and controls wiring.
