Prime facilities for five brand new primary schools. This massive project was to supply, install, test and commission mechanical and electrical services to five all new schools in the Leeds Area.

The services comprised of zone under floor heating from gas fired condensing boilers, with domestic hot water provided via direct gas fired water heaters, blended locally to maintain maximum temperatures of 43°C at the outlets. Each building was predominantly naturally ventilated, with deep plan areas incorporating either Passivent stacks or mechanical boost extract, to ensure fresh air ventilation.

Every structure was also provided with a rainwater recovery system, servicing the toilets while a combined wind turbine/photovoltaic cell provided power to a PC to introduce the children to sustainable energy.

Electrical services included lighting, power & data, addressable fire alarm, CCTV, access control and security. Airedale was responsible for the liaison with the statutory services to provide adequate incoming supplies to each building.
